Join Sea Potential Co-Founders Savannah Smith and Ebony Welborn in a workshop facilitated in collaboration with water and our more than human community. In this workshop we will do site observation mapping, a watershed movement meditation, a journaling activity inspired by Alexis Pauline Gumbs' "Undrowned", a cyanotype-based art activity, and conclude with a water gratitude circle. This workshop is designed to foster appreciation, encourage curiosity, and spark personal reflection.

Outline -
Introduction: Names, Pronouns, Icebreaker, Who Are We, Agenda of the Day (20 mins)

Observational Mapping + Discussion (15 mins)
*Mapping sights, and sounds while also recording questions and discoveries that arise*

Watershed Movement Meditation + Discussion (15 mins)
*Embodying different forms of water while learning how water moved through our local watersheds*

Weddel Seal Activity + Share Outs (15 mins)
*Journaling prompt activity using excerpts from Alexis Pauline Gumbs' book "Undrowned" *

Cyanotyping (30 mins - may be shorter) REQUIRES *Shaded* picnic area/tables nearby, can be skipped in workshop if not accessible near primary workshop location at the beach/river
*Art based activity using light and organic materials*

Water Gratitude Circle (10 mins)
*Making music with water and organic materials. Inspired by Water Drumming practice and cultural traditions of the Baka People of West Central Africa*
