In this stewardship event, volunteers will work with the Snoqualmie Tribe's Environmental & Natural Resources Department to learn more about the ecological and cultural history of Tolt MacDonald Park. With the goal of improving habitat & continuing stewardship in the Snoqualmie Tribe's Restoration Site, as well as connecting with the landscape, volunteers will be removing a non-native evergreen blackberry from the site, making room for native plants to thrive. During this stewardship event, volunteers will also have the opportunity to listen to the birds sing, get to know native plants, listen to the river, and experience new perspectives on nature.

Introduction to Site, Place and Tribe (15 minutes, starts at 10am) - Local history of the Snoqualmie Tribe and Tolt MacDonald Park, why we are working here, general goals, & introduction to plants
Restoration Activities (45 minutes) - removing non-native blackberry and other weeds, native plant ID, free time to explore the site and ask questions
Break (10 minutes) - drink some water, check in with friends, look at other parts of the site
Restoration Activities (40 minutes) - removing non-native blackberry and other weeds, native plant ID, look at bugs if you want, free time to explore the site and ask questions
Wrap-up / Closing Thoughts (10 minutes, close by 12pm at the earliest) - time to share what we learned, what was inspiring, new things we hadn't noticed before, inspired ideas, whatever we want!
